Spoon & Scribble is a recipe site built around one idea: cooking doesn't have to be fancy, expensive, or complicated to be worth doing well. Every recipe here is frugal by design, simple enough for a weeknight, and creative enough to be worth making again.

Every so often, a recipe pulls inspiration from a fictional dish — something from a favourite show or movie, turned into something you can actually cook in your own kitchen.

Every recipe comes with a Nutrition Facts panel formatted in the Canadian style, calculated ingredient by ingredient — no guessing, no rounding up.
